Monel K-500, also known as Alloy 500, with the UNS designation N05500 and W.Nr. 2.4375, is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy that combines the corrosion resistance of Monel 400 with greater strength and hardness. It is known for its excellent resistance to a variety of corrosive environments, including seawater, acids, and alkalis. Monel K-500 is often used in marine engineering, chemical processing, and oil and gas applications due to its high strength and resistance to corrosion. Additionally, it offers good mechanical properties at subzero temperatures and is non-magnetic.
