Inconel 718, also known as Alloy 718, with the UNS designation N07718 and W. Nr. 2.4668, is a high-strength, corrosion-resistant age hardenable nickel-chrome-iron-molybdenum alloy used at -423° to 1300°F,  known for its exceptional mechanical properties at elevated temperatures. It exhibits excellent tensile, fatigue, creep, and rupture strength, making it suitable for use in demanding environments. This alloy also offers excellent resistance to corrosion, oxidation, and aqueous corrosion, further extending its applicability in various industries. Inconel 718 is commonly used in aerospace, gas turbine, and other high-temperature applications where a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance is required.
