Hastelloy C-4, also known as Alloy C-4, with the UNS designation N06455 and W. Nr. 2.4610, is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with exceptional resistance to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, including hot sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and other strong corrosive media. It also offers good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmospheres. Hastelloy C-4 is particularly well-suited for use in environments where the combination of high temperature and corrosive conditions is present. This alloy is commonly used in chemical processing, pharmaceutical, and petrochemical industries, as well as in pollution control and other applications requiring high resistance to corrosion.
