Cobalt Alloy 188/ UNS R30188/ W. Nr. 2.4683

Cobalt Alloy 188, also known as UNS R30188 and W. Nr. 2.4683, is a cobalt-nickel-chromium-tungsten alloy that combines excellent high-temperature strength with very good resistance to oxidizing environments up to 2000°F (1095°C) for prolonged exposures, and excellent resistance to sulfate deposit hot corrosion. It is commonly used in gas turbine engine components, such as combustor liners, flame holders, and transition ducts, due to its ability to withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive environments. This alloy is also utilized in various industrial applications where resistance to wear, corrosion, and thermal fatigue is required.
